We are spoilt when it comes to local produce - brandy, wine, fruit, cheese, oysters and cakes without equal!

The current owners - Maureen and Iain - are originally from the UK where they owned The Priory Hotel in Whitchurch, Buckinghamshire.

Such was Iain’s reputation amongst those who regularly visited The Priory, several of them have already made the trip to Normandy to sample the delights of his cooking once again.

The impression that we (and our guests) have is that the quality of the local produce here in France is exceptional and the locally caught oysters are a particular favourite amongst all who sample them.

We are located in the heart of Calvados and it goes without saying that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to locally (farm) produced brandy, fruit and cheeses.

The breakfast table has its own high-tech electrical supply in readiness for the commencement of the cookery school
Although Iain is famed for some spectacular culinary creations, sometimes something simple - like this steak and chips - can be equally welcoming when you've had a busy day
A favourite at The Priory, and destined to be so here as well - behold our champagne breakfast with salmon and scrambled egg!
